I still have several irons in the fire. I have a couple of books and short stories in various stages of completion.
I probably won’t get out what I really wanted to get out first because it is more complicated and intense and requires a lot of editing.
I do have a new short story that I plan to release, perhaps before December 25th, if not by January 1st, 2026.
I’m going to use this project to experiment with Google Play Books.
I’ve never used it, and I want to find out how it operates and if it can help me find a wider audience and get better returns on my sales than Amazon.
Amazon has been good to me as far as it is the first place I learned to self-publish through. The only problem for me is how they have cornered the market and control too many things, and it costs a lot to advertise, and authors don’t get much back in return.
The short story will be released as an ebook first through Google Play when I get the mechanics of it down. I also hope to do an audio book of the short story as well. From the outside, Google Play seems to be a little more flexible and authors may be able to see a little more in return. Or at least, that is what I am hoping. We shall see.
Perhaps this will suck and be a total washout and I’ll write something about that.
So, hang in there. I have a new story I think everyone who loves mythology, especially Greek mythology, will find amusing and interesting coming out very soon. Stay tuned.
