YHWH Sacred Name Home Assembly

For those who are unaware, I am a deeply religious person but not in an organized, denominational manner.  I am what many may call a “Christian” but I do not use words like “Jesus” or even “God.”

After my wife’s grandfather, who was our minister, passed away, we sought a new church home but could not find one.  Grandfather’s church was a very small Pentecostal church that really didn’t conform to many Pentecostal tenets.

We personally found denominational worship far too materialistic and worldly, too ritualized and greedy.  We were seeking something spiritual.

Matthew 18:20 ‘For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I also in the midst of them.’

As I stated previously, Grandfather’s church was small and there were times were there were not very many people in attendance.

What this verse reminded my wife and I of, was that the number of people in attendance had absolutely nothing to do with the power of the ministry or presence of the Lord.

I took it upon myself to research – to pray, listen, read and test the various spirits around us, the many voices of the many churches in search of truth.

John 7:14-15  ‘Now about the midst of the feast, Yahshua went up into the temple and taught.  And the Jews marveled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?’

I in no way purport to be divine or Christ-like.  I do, however, believe that men don’t need other men to teach them how to find the Creator and Savior.  In John 14:26, Yahshua said the Father would send us the Holy Spirit, and ‘…He shall teach you all things…’

When we looked at many of the Churches, especially the ones packed with many people, we found that many of them were more concerned about tithes and offerings then the condition and needs of their congregations.  They were “building” the Church but not the people who attended it.  They were more concerned with expanding and promoting the names of the pastors and the building, than Christ.  It seemed very self-serving to us.

We decided to have our own Home Assembly.

John 7:16 ‘Yahshua answered them, and said, My doctrine is not Mine, but His that sent Me.’

That’s all we see our Home Assembly as.

2Corinthians 4:1-2  ‘Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of Yahweh deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of Yahweh.’

This became the cornerstone of our Home Assembly.  We are not trying to build a Church.  We are not seeking wealth to expand.  We are not trying to market our message to make appear more palatable for people who would otherwise reject it.  We want the truth and nothing else.

2Corinthians 4:5 ‘For we preach not ourselves, but Yahshua the Messiyah our Lord, and ourselves your servants for Yahshua’s sake.’

We are here to help, not to fleece.  Like Grandfather, we don’t have much in a worldly sense.  If someone is seeking those things, they won’t find them here.

With us, people will hopefully discover peace, contentment and love through a shared faith in the Creator and His plan of renewal for us as spiritual beings.

And so with that in mind, I put together a booklet with ten of my previous teachings.  I made them available through Amazon, Paperback and Kindle.

I kept the prices as low as Amazon would allow.  This is not about making money or a name for myself.  I only offer this booklet for those who may want to share in our search for the truth.  I can also be followed on Facebook on the link below.

Many wonder how I can write dark epic fantasy, as I have done with The Crystal Crux series, and still call myself a Christian.

I look at it this way.  The world is filled with all kinds of people on all kinds of journeys.  Where I am headed and meant to do on this earth is not the same as any other person.  When I write fantasy, I see the reality of how we feel and act as human beings.  Spiritually, we all long for magic, other worlds, the unknown.  That is all fantasy really is.

In The Crystal Crux series there are some very dark characters who do very disturbing things for a host of different reasons.  There are also characters much like most of us.  They are pushed and pulled by their lot in life.  Decisions plague them.  How they react to situations are not always holy and upright although that might be their intentions.  They do things they wish they would not do, regret things they have done.

I don’t want inhuman “Christians” in my stories.  I want people like us, people who are vulnerable and scared, lonely and lost sometimes.  We all share these fears and concerns.  We all face the dangers posed by dark people, evil people, people who don’t care what happens to us.  As much as we want to embrace faith, we are mortal and we are weak.  I want my series to show us strong when we are weak, hopeful when all seems bleak, never tiring, always enduring.

The Crystal Crux series is currently two books – Betrayal and Blue Grotto.  They are very adult in nature, the prose, sex and violence are epic.

I am currently working on a YA version combining these two books which will be called ‘The First Three Days.’  This book will eliminate the graphic details and be more streamlined for those with gentler spirits.
