Seems not so long ago we were all complaining about the cold, wondering when summer would get here. Well, it has arrived – at least in my neck of the woods – southeastern Wisconsin. We have three days of 90 degree temps coming. (That’s around 32.2 Celsius for those not living in North America). We don’t get many 90 degree days in Wisconsin but they have been more frequent the past few years.
Global warming? I won’t get into that debate here. 🙂
I just want to mention that the heat is inhibiting my ability to write in so much as I want to be up and outside all the time, playing with my kids and grandkids. I have to really force myself to sit and write something, block out all the joy and laughter echoing in from outside.
I am hitting the keyboards hard at night. Luckily I’m night stalker and being exhausted most days comes naturally. I can often run on a few hours sleep so that helps me find time to write.
The Crystal Crux – Book Three – has over 45,000 words in place. My goal is to release it in October. Fingers crossed.
In the meantime, feel free to re-read the first two books in the series, Betrayal and Blue Grotto – and recommend them to friends, family and acquaintances. Urge them to write reviews, even if it is only to give it stars or one sentence. Anything that shows the world it is being read by someone somewhere, helps.
