Progress Report for October 11, 2017

Sorry for the long delay.  It appears it has been a month since I last published anything on this page.

I want to keep everyone informed on the progress of Book Three of The Crystal Crux series.

I’m still hoping to release it in October but that may not be possible.  It may be November.

The book is written.  I’m currently going through it chapter by chapter, editing and shoring up the language, insuring it has that medieval flavor.

If nothing changes, there will be 37 chapters.  It currently sits at a little over 80,000 words but I know that will change as these last details are added.

After this is done, I’ll have to complete the formatting so it can be downloaded and distributed.  This is a form of surgery in and of itself and takes a while.

I’m also working on the book cover.

I hope to have more news for everyone before the end of the month.  Fingers crossed.  It’s been a lot of work.  I looked back on my notes and it looks like I really put my head down and started working on this book in the series in March, so it’s been seven months.  I hope all the readers appreciate the attention to detail and history.

Be sure to recommend the first two books (and the YA edition) to friends, family and acquaintances.  For self-publishing authors, self-editing and creating the entire work from scratch by themselves, word of mouth is our greatest ally.  We don’t have the finances and resources to advertise.  We need fans of our work to help us find more fans.
