What is the new book about?
The Shades of Myth series focuses on Greek mythology, dramatizing tales and exploring characters not often featured in other books.

Isidore, a veteran on the eve of battle, is visited by an angel. Angelia informs him that Death awaits and there is no escaping what is fated. Headed for the warrior’s prison, Isidore will have to fight his way through hell to reach Paradise.
Charon, the ferryman, will be waiting there to escort him over the River Styx as long as he makes it to the boat on time and has an oblation. Most souls never make it. Most go mad battling hordes of ghost men full of rage, grief and hopelessness.

I’ve been working on this book for several months now, even before my father passed, which was recent.
It might feel a bit untimely to release this novella now because of his recent passing, but I don’t think so.
My father had a rather casual and capricious nature about him at times, especially when it came to dealing with things that seemed inevitable or fated, and death is inevitable and fated for us all.
I prefer to think he would joke about the timing of it with me, or at least that’s the way I choose to remember him. He was generally a positive man and wasn’t going to be shaken by the prospect of dying. Like Isidore, he knew it was coming sooner or later. He joked about it nearly every time we talked especially on his birthdays.

I’m excited to see the response to this novella.
